"Independent journalist" facing charges of terrorist killings

Have police found the third suspect on the picture taken inside Brussels Airport just before the bomb blasts last Tuesday? The man can be seen on the right, wearing a hat. On his left are the two terrorists who were about to stage a suicide attack minutes later. The Francophone public broadcaster RTBF reports that the suspect has been identified by the taxi driver who drove the three men to the airport. The judicial authorities have not confirmed this yet, but have started an investigation against him in the aftermath of the Brussels attacks.

IS claims Brussels attacks in new video

26/03/16 - The terrorist movement IS has claimed responsibility for the Brussels attacks. They had done this already, but it's now the first time they do it in a video. One of the two men that can be seen, is Lotfi Aoumeur aka Abu Abdallah al-Beljiki. He had already threatened Belgium and France in a video in February 2015.

Flemish budget 172 million in the red, but extra cash for schools and social housing

The Flemish government is sticking to its original plan to limit the budget deficit to 172 million euros. There were rumours that the deficit would be bigger, but this will not be the case, the VRT has learned. At the same time, some 400 million has been earmarked for new investments.

Salah Abdeslam no longer cooperating with police

Mariah Carey cancels Brussels concert

The American singer Mariah Carey announced last night that she is cancelling her concert in Brussels in the aftermath of Tuesday's terrorist attacks. There is no news yet about a rescheduled show, but tweets said that Carey "hoped to see her fans in Belgium soon".

Speaking at a press conference, Kerry said some words in French and Dutch, to show the American support and sympathy, referring to Charlie Hebdo: "Je suis Bruxellois. Ik ben Brussels.
