Alex Norman A massive well done to my fab colleagues in control last night and to all the firefighters keeping us safe as always
Alex Cardy Please let Boris Johnson know. He justifies his cuts with lowering fire deaths but seems to conveniently forget the 'rescue' part of a Fire and Rescue service.
From recruitment to hard hitting fire safety messages using some shocking images, the campaigning face of the London Fire Brigade has changed a lot throughout our 150 year history. To see some of the posters and art work we have used over the years take a virtual tour through our picture gallery.

We’ve planted one tree for every year of our history at Ingrebourne Hill in Rainham. Trees planted (Sycamore, Douglas Fir, English Oak and Silver Birch) are a combination of those that have a significance to the Brigade and those suited to the planting environment. Trees have been traditionally used in much of our essential firefighting kit. Eg, Oak, which was used in trunk mains, appliance bay doors and drill tower window sills and Elm, which was used for manual pumps and wheeled escapes.
We want help in naming our LFB Forest so please submit them here.
