I received an email yesterday from Jon Antal who is the Program Lead for Clinical Education at the STARS base in Regina. He saw that I was in the city and invited me over to meet the crew and take some shots. STARS is a helicopter air ambulance service with 3 bases in Alberta, 2 in Saskatchewan and 1 in Manitoba. The service relies heavily on donations to operate. You can visit their website here www.stars.ca

Regina Firehall #1 William White est. 1986
Regina Fire names their halls after retired firefighters and chiefs. I think that's a great idea. Tomorrow I'll be at Regina EMS taking some shots of the on duty crews, I'll have that one up tomorrow.

Linda Sue Vinup Amazingly beautiful, but that is what you do...
Cathleen MacPhee Can't wait to see what you come up with this time!
I'm in Regina this week for a Habitat for Humanity fund raiser. I've donated some artwork that will be auctioned off this weekend and the proceeds will be used to build some new homes for Regina families. Today I visited some firehalls and met some of Regina's finest. Here's a crew shot I took while at station 1. Thanks for having me in your house brothers it was great meeting all of you.

At that point we usually move on to something else in a similar field or take advantage of the many doors that have opened up for us. Many of us just quit and move onto something completely different. I’ve been a paramedic for 14 years and looking back on my time I’ve noticed I’ve gone through distinct stages as I’ve moved through the years.
As a new graduate medic I had a huge sense of accompli...

Chris Knisley your letter and question reflects my life as a nurse. At this point I am just trying to hang on until retirement in 6 years. changing to a less stressful environment has helped, but not much..... I just want to take the time to say thank you to all the emergency personnel who read this. I respect you and your dedication to your calling. I know I could never do your jobs
Becky Tomlinson Null I got to the point in my career, with 12 year experience, that I wasn't doing enough, I wasn't making a difference and wondering if I should continue my career in EMS. Then I had a call, 16 yof fall, possible seizure, while en route we were notified CP...See More
