Europe - EU mulls Russia sanctions as Kiev warns of 'full-scale war'

We are neighbours, and should treat each other with kindness and friendship. Mistrust is the problem driving this mess, even to terrible war. Friendship and kindness are the answer (St. Matt 5-7).

Europe - EU mulls Russia sanctions as Kiev warns of 'full-scale war'

Sounds like while Nero fiddled, Rome burnt to the ground. When will the EU take strong measures? When "little green men" start showing up at Polands' and the Baltic states' borders?

Europe - Poland's Tusk, Italy's Mogherini set for top EU jobs

The EU is lead by a bunch of cream puffs. The situation will continue to get out of hand until europe places heavy sanctions on Russia and provides heavy weapony to Ukraine including barrel bombs to use against the rebels and russian soldiers. Failure will mean little green men showing up in Poland and the Baltic states.

  • Middle east - Dozens of UN peacekeepers still held by Syrian jihadists

Middle east - Dozens of UN peacekeepers still held by Syrian jihadists

The fate of the 38 Fijian UNDOF peacekeepers being held in the Buffer Zone/No Man’s Land of the Golan Heights is a microcosm. There is an optimal solution to this puzzle. The issues, players and perspectives involved are complex but solvable. Some important points... (1) JAN probably knows the value of their captives. They are unlikely to hand them over for a ransom payment, even if it is in the order of $20 million. Their demands may be of a much greater nature. e.g. (a) Real co-operative ceasefires to take root nationwide. (b) Cessation of barrel bombing. (c) Humanitarian aid to be delivered to Yarmouk, Ghouta, Aleppo etc. (d) Polio vaccines for children n/wide. Need to fight "Dis-Ease" e.g.The coming Ebola tsunami.. (e) Call for a transitional authority under int. oversight. (f) Real democratic elections nationwide. (g) Assistance to fight ISIL etc. etc. (2) Fiji has a small defence force. The guys selected for the UN Missions are invariably the best of the best. “Fiji’s Finest”. They all have family, friends, wives and girlfriends back home. So every move heron in from various players is very important. Let’s see what unfolds over the coming minutes, hours and days... Prayers for the Fijian UNDOF Peacekeepers, the Holy Land, Syria and the Middle East. P.S. I have known of Irris Makler's reports over the years, and especially from what happened to her in Jerusalem on Sunday Oct. 25th 2009. The most recent report of hers that I saw was the four minute interview/commentary she gave at 10:38 am IDT Friday 14th March 2014 on France 24 when she spoke about Gaza, Islamic Jihad and Israel. The visual backdrop to the story was a large photo of the south east corner of the Haram al Sharif. What an interconnected and interesting world we live in...

France - Exclusive: Fabius warns Russia of more sanctions

Nobody should stop Russians to help Russians (so as French to help French). The vast majority of the east ukranian habitants are Russians.Everybody has already forgotten, that recently they voted on referendum to secede from Ukrain and to create 2 independent republics - Donetsk republic and Lugansk republic. Is it the good reason to bombe and to murder them?
